Bienvenue from
The Compagnie Franche de la Marine de la Riviére au Boeuf

Compagnie Leboeuf is a group dedicated to preserving the French Heritage of what is known as the French & Indian War or the Seven Years War. We portray the Compagnie Franche de la Marine assigned to the Fort de la Riviére au Boeuf, or more simply Fort LeBoeuf (For more on Fort LeBoeuf, visit the history section of our website)

The Compagnies Franches de la Marine (Independant Companies of the Navy) were the only regular French force in New France from 1680 until the arrival of Army Regulars in 1755. As such they played an instrumental role in the history of North America. We honor this role by presenting living history programs on the compagnies franches and other aspects of mid-18th century life.

So feel free to take a look around our site and, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us.
